The Texas A& M College of Dentistry has an open position Dental Public Health (DPH) Residency for the upcoming 2022-2023 Academic Year.
The DPH Residency is an innovative full time 12-month program designed to prepare dentists for dental public health practice. This residency includes acquisition of research skills, required didactic instruction and field experiences, and fulfills the educational requirements of the American Board of Dental Public Health (ABDPH).
Admissions Requirements:
- Degrees: DDS or DMD or equivalent and MPH or equivalent degree from an accredited Public Health program*
- Exams: NDBE Parts I & II, TOEFL
- Interview

We are currently seeking Dentists who have an interest in working with this program to conduct oral examinations on children in kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade in a school-based setting.
Position requirements:
- Licensed Texas Dentist
- Availability to be trained in the International Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS)
- Reliable transportation (schools are located in Houston, TX)
- Experience working in a school-based oral surveillance program
