Dr. McAllister Castelaz, DMD, FAGD

McAllister CastelazMcAllister Castelaz, DMD, FAGD is a dental public health resident with experience providing care in federally qualified health centers. Previously she worked as a lead dentist at a community health center in Wisconsin and dental director of a community health center in Virginia. She has developed resources for the safety net dental community to implement teledentistry. She is an active advocate for alternative care models, including teledentistry and mobile dentistry. Dr. Castelaz currently serves as the president of the American Mobile and Teledentistry Alliance.

Course Description

In this course, we will examine available teledentistry platforms and discuss considerations in the selection of platforms for your clinical practice. Often the setting the dentist and care team is seeking to utilize teledentistry will influence platform selection. We will review the utilization of teledentistry in alternative care settings such as nursing homes, schools, hospitals, or public health clinics among others.

  2. Review standards for care when providing care via teledentistry
  3. Discuss the utilization of teledentistry in alternative care settings

Edification is complimentary to all attendees and continuing dental education is free to TxOHC members. All other attendees will be charged $10.00 to receive continuing dental education for this course.

Exceptions can be made for registrants experiencing an unexpected death or illness in the family and will be considered on a case by case basis by committee members.

Attendee cancellation notification is not necessary for free webinars.
 
Cancellations received after the 48 hours will not be refunded. All registered attendees will have access to the recording once it becomes available. If you registered, but did not attend the live webinar you may not be eligible to receive CDE.
