The “Child Sugar Sweetened Beverage Consumption Crisis in Texas” was developed by the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living at the UTHealth School of Public Health in Austin. Data from the Texas School Physical Activity and Nutrition (SPAN) surveillance system was combined with current recommendations to showcase the threat that sugary drinks have on Texas children.
